Abstract

|
본 연구는 연구대상자 일부 지역 간호대학생의 경험이라는 한계로, 전국 간호학생들의 지역적 실습환경 특성을 모두 반영되지 못하였고 성별에 따른 차이를 구분하지 못한 제한점이 있다. 따라서 추후 연구에서는 병원 규모 등 실습기관의 다양성에 따른 임상실습 대처 경험의 차이나, 여자 간호학생들과는 달리 또 다른 경험을 하게 되는 남자 간호학생들에 초점을 맞춘 임상실습 대처 경험에 대한 연구들도 필요할 것으로 본다. 또한 본 연구결과를 토대로 후속 연구에서는 간호학생들의 임상실습에서의 기본적 사회심리과정인 대처과정을 심층적으로 탐색하는 것도 필요하다고 생각된다. 본 연구 결과는 간호학생들의 임상실습 대처경험을 심도 있게 이해하는 근거를 제공하고 있으므로, 추후 간호학생들의 임상실습 교육의 효과와 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발에 유용한 근거를 제시하였다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의를 찾아볼 수 있겠다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the coping experience of nursing students in clinical practice.
Methods: In-depth interview was done with semi-structured questionnaire on 32 nursing students taking clinical practice. Data was analyzed through the grounded theory.
Results: Core category of coping experience of nursing students was ‘trying to be a meaningful presence’ while clinical practice. Students’ coping strategies were ‘overcoming inexperience’, ‘receiving the recognition from the clinical instructors’, and ‘governing mind and body’. Helping components for their coping behaviors were ‘support from people’, ‘personal experience before clinical practice’, ‘dynamics with partners’. Through the coping experience during clinical practice, nursing students became mature and confirmed their identities as student nurses.
Conclusion: Nursing students taking clinical practice tried to be a meaningful presence.
